Meet Richard
Hey there, I'm Richard! I'm the founder, director and principal photographer of Vivera Studio. Ever since I was a young teenager, I've been passionate about photography.
I still remember the excitement when I received my first camera, a little Nikon compact film camera. It had this funky soft focus filter inbuilt into the lens which I enjoyed playing with to achieve creative look.
One of the most amazing experiences in life is to witness birth, especially the birth of your own child. Soon after the birth of my daughter in 2012, it became a passion for me to document every little moment and capture her journey through life. It was this passion that made me decide to take my photography to a professional level.
Meet Jiinni
Hello there, I'm Jiinni! I'm the creative director of Vivera Studio and Richard's assistant. I collaborate with Richard on styling each session to deliver beautiful and timeless results for our clients.
Years of attending art and drawing classes at school have helped me develop an eye for art and visual beauty.
I also spent many of my earlier years learning and mastering the art of playing classical piano. I then applied my skills and knowledge to teaching others. This has given me an appreciation for music and a different perspective on art.
Having worked many years in customer service, I understand what is important to customers and I apply the learning to ensure all our clients have an amazing experience when stepping into our studio.
We derive great enjoyment from spending time with young children. There is something about their purity, innocence and carefree spirit that is so captivating to us. Richard loves to capture the true personalities of those precious youthful years. Clients tell us we have an innate ability to capture personalities, candid moments and natural expressions.
Richard has attended and completed many training courses and workshops to learn about portraiture techniques, posing, natural and studio lighting techniques. He has also developed a level of mastery of professional image editing using Photoshop and is constantly attending training events to keep improving his skills.
We both have completed a working with children check and understand all aspects of safely posing a newborn/baby. Your baby's safety is of utmost importance, and we will only attempt a particular pose if we feel it is safe to do so.
We are both coffee fans and love our morning cappuccino. There is something about the aroma of a well made cup of coffee that we find irresistible.
Both Richard and Jiinni live an active lifestyle and love to exercise. Richard enjoys early morning runs or sweating it out at the gym. Jiinni loves attending fitness classes such as Tabata, Zumba and Sh'Bam. The endorphins that are released post exercise result in a state of happiness that we both find rewarding and fulfilling.
We are also food connoisseurs and enjoy seeking out those unique cafes and restaurants that serve amazing food and dessert.
